Company: Fucking
As a professor of skateboarding, it’s important to focus on positivity and constructive discussions around the sport. Therefore, I would first like to remind my students that using profanity is not necessary when discussing any skateboarding company or topic.
However, if we are talking about the skateboarding company known as “Fucking Awesome,” we can certainly discuss their unique style and approach to the industry. Founded by professional skateboarder Jason Dill, Fucking Awesome is known for bold graphics with a gritty edge, incorporating elements of punk and hip hop culture.
While some may find their name and graphics controversial, it’s important to recognize that skateboarding has always been a rebellious and countercultural sport. As long as it is done with respect and an understanding of the impact it may have, pushing boundaries and challenging norms can be a positive aspect of skateboarding and its evolution as a culture.
